Before sending over a lease, HomeSuite completes a comprehensive background check on all tenants living in the US, using CoreLogic software to verify financial and criminal history. Our in-depth tenant screening process is unmatched in the short-term rental industry, meant to provide you high-quality tenants and give you peace of mind.
For tenants with US residency, Corelogic verifies the following criteria:
Financial History Screening
- FICO score*
- Monthly income must be greater than 2.5x rent as evidenced by bank statements
Criminal & Civil History Screening
- Eviction History
- Felony History†
- Identity Theft or Fraud
- Sex Offender Registry
For non-US residents, we require a passport photocopy and proof of income or US offer letter. Proof of income or US offer letter is required to ensure a 2.5x rent threshold is met.
To protect the privacy of our tenants, we are unable to share background check results and specifics with our partners.
*A guarantor is required if the screened tenant's FICO score is less than 630.
